Pat Toomey Joins Lincoln Radio Journal
Will host monthly report
from the nation’s capital
(Harrisburg, PA) – Lincoln Radio Journal gets a new contributor beginning in February as Pat Toomey , president of the national Club for Growth and a former Congressman from Pennsylvania, begins hosting a monthly report from the nation’s capital.
Toomey joins Pennsylvania’s most widely broadcast public affairs radio program as Lincoln Radio Journal celebrates its tenth anniversary. His segment each month will focus on the behind-the-scenes maneuvering over key national issues, particularly as they impact the residents of Pennsylvania.
“Pat Toomey provides our program with the unique perspective of a former Member of Congress who has the type of access in Washington needed to get the real story and share it with Lincoln Radio Journal listeners,” said Lowman S. Henry, Chairman of the Lincoln Institute and host of the program. “We welcome Pat as a regular contributor who will continue serving Pennsylvanians by providing in-depth information on key state and national issues.
“I am delighted to be working with Lowman Henry and everyone on Lincoln Radio Journal,” said Toomey. “This program will allow me to continue speaking out on the issues I worked on during my career in Congress. Mr. Toomey, 43, is President and CEO of the Club for Growth, America ’s pre-eminent free-market political advocacy group. He served as a Member of the United States House of Representatives from Pennsylvania ’s 15 th district for three terms, from January 1999 through January 2005. Prior to his service in Congress, Mr. Toomey co-founded, owned, and operated four very successful restaurants in Allentown and Lancaster , Pennsylvania . His first career was in investment banking from 1984 through 1991.

Congressman Toomey will join a line-up which includes newsmaker interviews and “Town Hall Commentary” by Lowman Henry , a “Capitol Watch” segment focusing on state issues hosted by Jim Panyard , President of the Pennsylvania Manufacturers’ Association and including Susan Staub of Pennsylvanians for Right to Work and Matthew Brouillette of the Commonwealth Foundation; a monthly “Non-Profit Spotlight” feature hosted by Joe Geiger of the Pennsylvania Association of Non-Profit Organizations (PANO), and the program’s long running “Somedays” commentary by Al Paschall, senior commentator for the Lincoln Institute.
