Harrisburg, PA – A wide range of issue panels and workshops have been added to the schedule for the 2007 Pennsylvania Leadership Conference April 20 and April 21, 2007 at the Four Points Sheraton near Harrisburg.
The conference will get underway on Friday, April 20, 2007 with a workshop on "Building A Grassroots Organization" moderated by Chris Lilik, Young Conservatives of Pennsylvania. Panelists will be Jeff Coleman of Churchill Consulting, Attorney Gretchen Sterns, and Don Petrille of the Bucks County Young Republicans.
There will be two Friday afternoon panel presentations. The first, entitled "Reforming Pennsylvania" will be chaired by State Representative Curt Schroder with Sate Senator Jeff Piccola, State Representative Sam Rohrer, State Representative Kathy Rapp and State Representative David Steil serving as panelists. The second Friday panel, on "Educational Liberty" will be moderated by Simon Campbell of Stop Teacher Strikes, Inc. Joining Simon on that panel will be public school teacher Ryan Mellinger, Dr. Michael Coulter of Grove City College; Old Forge School Director Frank Scavo and Dr. Alberta Wilson of the Faith First Educational Assistance Corporation.
Saturday morning the panels resume with the Keynote Panel presentation on "The Power of Conservative Principles" chaired by Susan Staub of Pennsylvanians for Right to Work. Speaking on that panel will be Matthew Brouillette of the Commonwealth Foundation; Kathryn English from the PA Club for Growth; Michael Geer of the PA Family Institute; Colin Hanna from Let Freedom Ring, USA; Dr. Jake Haulk of the Allegheny Institute; and Lowman Henry of the Lincoln Institute. Saturday's second panel, "Reviving Pennsylvania's Economy," will be chaired by David Taylor of the Pennsylvania Manufacturers' Association and will include former Lt. Governor William W. Scranton, III; Glen Meakem of Meakem Ventures; Gene Barr from the PA Chamber of Business & Industry; and a presenter from the Associated Builders & Contractors.
The conference will conclude Saturday afternoon with a workshop on "Running for Local Office" chaired by Al Bienstock of RightWingLimericks.com. Panelists include Ryan Shafik from the Young Conservatives of Pennsylvania; Christian Leinbach of WestLawn Graphic; and a presentation by The Leadership Institute.
In addition to the panels and workshops, conference attendees will hear features speeches by nationally syndicated radio talk show host Laura Ingraham, former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich; Club for Growth President Pat Toomey and state Senators John Eichelberger and Mike Folmer.
