- I would like the Society for Human Resources provide more focus on small business and/or nonprofits in some of their articles. Also would like to see PAEYC provide more education, information and collaboration around children with special needs and also infants and toddlers; their concentration now is primarily on typically developing children and pre-school.

- Networking/information sharing. Ability to share practices or issues w/like industries, develop positions or recommendations from a collectice perspective. Coordinated advocacy and networking/information sharing from Pa-PCA. The Society for Human Resources online Q&A for expert questions and research for policies and updates on national and state legislative issues. EIPA membership and meetings are very useful; the opportunity to network with other EI providers in person or thru electronic list-serve is very useful; the fact that the EIPA executive committee meets regularly with OCDEL staff gives them a lot of valuable information to share with providers and to send our concerns to OCDEL staff.

- State budget, economy in general, federal health care reform, waiting lists, and continuation of waiver services to consumers. As we prepare for 2010 - maintaining stability for staff and customer responsiveness (both internal and external customer service) while we are facing such uncertain times particularly financially. Monetary concerns about how to continue to operate the program and deliver EI services at the same level as we have been. Funding-too many community needs, not enough dollars to go around. Increasing competion which makes it more difficult to provide enough services to remain viable. Changing or limited Foundation priorities.
- Reduced funding to continue our work.
- the health of nonprofit charities and their staff and board admin knowledge
- Adequate Funding
- funding from government programs.
- funding
- $$
- Cash Flow
- money!
- statue budget not being passed; inadequate funds

- Being able to access funding to provide continued prescription assistance as well as medical supplies!
- Money!
- New sources of funding
- Stable funding
- Funding sourcing
- Revenue and cash flow
- Enough grants/giving to keep the doors open
- Lack of a state budget and the pending changes in services for older adults.
- Funding for programs
- Increasing BOD membership to enhance our visibility in the community in order to be eligible for grants to accomplish our mission.
- Continuation of Ryan White CARE Act (provides flow-through Federal funds to local governments who distribute to local agencies.)
- Financial deficit
- Fundraising to meet basic budget needs
- Funding and maintaining existing staff . Recruiting and maintaining Board Members.
- Adequate funding for foreclosure prevention work
- Have enough food to feee people and the staff to make that happen.
- Continued addequate funding to operate programs and remain true to mission - we're trying to do the same with less but that will only last so long.
- Resource development

- Funding
- BUDGET! we are concerned about losing more money from donations, and concerned about how we can stabablize to start a capital campaign
- any new federal funding policy trickle down funds? Specifically-how do we apply and when
- the morale of staff and their commitment to our work for reduced salaries but seemingly more work
- Status of the State Budget!!!!!!!!!!
- Too much to do, too little time.
- Lack of stability in the economy makes planning nearly impossible. Our day care programs both depend upon private pay customers and these are disappearing. Wellness programs are paid for by discretionary monies which are are and guarded well by families.
- the world economy
- State budget impasse. Even when resolved, funding levels do not meet cost of providing services. The state and the people of PA must acknowledge that this is not a sustainable model of service provision.
- membership growth and retention
- Funds for existing program as well as new programs
- That our fundraising sources will be negatively impacted by self-appointed watchpuppies who think they know more about our business than we who have been in it for 25 years do.
- funding and budget cuts
- finding permanent funding when grants end
- Funding and expansion of existing infrastructure
- Funding, funding, funding
- availability of volunteers
- Meeting fundraising goals
- lack of county/city support and funding
- state budget
- We're an all volunteer board, so getting and keeping good board members is always a problem. Getting funding that is able to keep our organization doing the kind of work we do is a consistent issue.
- Overwhelming needs of our county
- No increases in funding over the past few years makes it necessary to find other sources of revenue in order to continue providing the services that help us fulfill our mission.
- How/when to run a much-needed capital campaign when our operating budget is so needy. Also, handling a vocal and distructive group of disgruntled alumni.
- Revenue, and avoiding staff burn-out
- Funding
- Increased need for our services and inadequate facilities
- Managing increased expectations of our programs and services in a time of economic instability.
- Sustainability
- more donors, contributions
- Funding due to the economy and Federal Spending.

- The Fuctionality of State Government
- Operating costs
- Decrease in donations and state grant programs
- State Budget Impasse
- money
- Ongoing quest for funding and staff support
- Financial sustainability in a number of key programs
- I am filling this out from the perspective as a board member with a non-profit charity. I do not know the answers to all the questions but did the best to my knowledge.

- Evening out cash flow with irregular reimbursements
- funding
- Revenue
- State budget cuts.
- Contraction of State funding
- FUNDING! We grew too fast & did not put infrastructure in place OR a strategic approach to development & funding. Doing "catch up" and trying to contain expenses w/o reducing services or staff levels is huge concern.
- market
- Recession will show up in 2010 funding.
- Cash flow. Increasing donor support in this economy.
- Sustainable turnaround in investment markets
- Financial resources, and recruitment/rentention of volunteers
- Not enough revenue
- Cutting of state aid.
- increased costs in health insurance, inability to give staff raises due to flat funding, increased utility costs
- Maintaining quality services with contracting resources
- The economy
- People don't understand the precipice many nonprofits, particularly arts, rest on daily; no money out there; that many services provided by nonprofits should instead be provided by government and industry, instead allowing the use of nonprofits as a tax shelter for wealth! As it is, the continual begging is disgusting and disheartening. These services should be built into our society, and PANO should address this, instead of just rearranging the chairs on the Titanic, and getting grants for surveys like these.
- Funding!!!
- Economy/Contributions keeping up with the need for services.
- Decrease in Foundation support, no increase in Federal support, but increases in health insurance expenses.
- reduced funding and lack of funds to provide COLA and retriement benefits to staff

- decreases in state funding / no state budget yet
- being able to eventually hire staff
- Financial stability (incoming gifts)
- We fundraise our entie .5M budget and this will be very difficult to do this year. We have been told by two large funders that their donation will be less this year.

- Getting Clients
- Consistent funding for programs.
- Meeting our earned revenue goals.

- Decrease in funding!
- Decreased funding but need to maintain/surpass level of service
- Having to cut services to Senior Adults, because lack of funding.
- Ability to generate revenue to cover administrative operating costs
- Attracting enough funding to remain solvent and in business.
