(Editor’s Note: Robert W. Keibler served on the Lincoln Institute of Public Opinion Research Board of Directors since shortly after the organization’s founding in 1993. During most of that time he served as the board’s Vice Chairman recently stepping down from that post.  The Lincoln Institute’s board, staff and consultants wish to extend to Bob’s family our sincere appreciation for  sharing him with us for all of those years. Our on-going work to improve the lives of all Pennsylvanians will serve as a lasting memorial to Bob.

Robert Wayne Keibler, 84, of Bell Township, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 in QLS- West Haven Manor, Washington Township.

Born April 12, 1938 in Upper Burrell Township, he was a son of the late Homer Keibler & Violet (Doumont) Keibler.

Robert was a 1956 graduate of Ken High, and worked as a highway construction engineer for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, retiring in 1998. He was a former vice chairman of the Lincoln Institute in Harrisburg, and member of the Kiski Area School Board, where he served as president for three terms. Robert attended Cornerstone Ministries in Murrysville. His faith was of utmost importance to him.

Robert was a fan of Western movies, and liked listening to the Gaither Vocal Band.

He is survived by his brother, George H. Keibler of Blanchard, PA; sister, Florence L. (Edward) Moro of Bell Township; nephew, Gary R. (Julie) Keibler of Blanchard, PA; nieces, Kathleen L. (Paul) Snyder of Apollo, Kelley L. (Dorian) Fritsch of Parker, CO; and great-nieces, Cassia, Tori, and Emma.

At Robert’s request, all services are private, and have been entrusted to the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Apollo.
